And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever; තවද මම පියාණන් වහන්සේට යාච්ඤා කරන්නෙමි, එවිට ඔහු ඔබ සමඟ සදහටම සිටින පිණිස තවත් සැනසිලිදායකයෙකු ඔබට දෙනු ඇත.

I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. මට තවමත් ඔබට කීමට බොහෝ දේ ඇත, නමුත් ඔබට දැන් ඒවා දරාගත නොහැක. කෙසේ වෙතත්, උන් වහන්සේ, සත්‍යයේ ආත්මය පැමිණි විට, උන් වහන්සේ ඔබට සියලු සත්‍යයට මඟ පෙන්වන සේක. මක්නිසාද ඔහු තමාගේම අධිකාරියෙන් කථා නොකරනු ඇත, නමුත් ඔහු අසන ඕනෑම දෙයක් කතා කරයි. ඔහු ඔබට ඉදිරි දේවල් පවසනු ඇත.
